Featuring  best-of-the-year artwork by the students of RLRS

June 23 RPL Annual Pet Show!

July 7-9 Sidewalk Chalk Art Show

Two days to prepare, and on the 9th, we "paint" the town!

July 8 Strawberry Festival in Oquossoc

Friends of RPL will have a booth with a book sale, free face painting, and new phone books. 

July 10 RPL Walk-Run-Wiggle-a-thon

9 am at the library!

July 12 A Year in Rural China

Slide show and presenation by Judy Hunger at 7 pm

July 17 William Wegman Book and Print Signing, 11 am

Louis Sockalexis:  Baseball's First Indian, presentation by Ed Rice, author  (Time:  TBA)

 

Children's 

Summer Programming: 

Little Mt. School Visits to the library

Every other week on Thursday and Friday from

10:30-11:30 am.  

Activities include crafts, reading, music and snack time. 

Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival July 7 or 8:  come to the library at 10 am to make your own chalk and get ideas for your art

July 9:  10-1, find your spot on the sidewalk and get to work creating art!  Come back to the library at 1 pm for music and refreshments.

Children's Programming "HOOF, PAW and CLAWS",                               Programs focusing on the wildlife of the Rangeley area, especially moose, bear and birds

Every Weds OR Fri beginning July 14, 3-6 year olds meet from 10:00-11:30

Every Thurs beginning July 15, 7-10 year olds meet from 10:00-11:30

no fees to register if pledges raised are $50.00 or more

Awards to the top male and female runner
Ribbons to the top three runners in each age category
Ceremony at 10:30
All person entering race will receive a free T-shirt

SPECIFICATIONS: water, mile markers, timing, police
measured course, after event refreshments

SPECIAL WIGGLE-A-THON RACE FOR SMALL CHILDREN
will start at 9:00 on the library lawn; all children will receive prizes
(no fee or registration)
